Whether this is your first business event in Japan or you regularly attend international conferences, this guide will help you prepare for your visit to PACIFICO Yokohama.

What is PACIFICO Yokohama?

PACIFICO Yokohama is a large convention and exhibition complex located in Yokohama's Minato Mirai district.

The complex includes several different facilities, including:

  • Conference Center – meeting rooms and conference spaces.

  • Exhibition Hall – a large space for exhibitions and trade shows.

  • Annex Hall – flexible event and seminar space.

  • North – a newer multi-purpose facility with meeting rooms and event space.

  • National Convention Hall – a large auditorium used for conferences, performances, and other major events.

Because the complex contains multiple buildings and event spaces, checking the exact venue listed on your event registration is important. Your event might take place in the Exhibition Hall, Conference Center, North building, or another part of the complex.

PACIFICO Yokohama's facilities are connected through outdoor pedestrian routes, making it possible to move between different areas of the complex. Visitors should be prepared to have an umbrella when moving between buildings in the rain. This is especially true in the rainy season, which is May and June, as well as typhoon season in August and September. It is designed to accommodate a wide variety of events, from international conferences and corporate meetings to exhibitions and trade shows.

This means you may find several activities happening at the same event, such as:

  • Exhibition booths

  • Keynote presentations

  • Seminars

  • Workshops

  • Business meetings

  • Networking sessions

  • Product demonstrations

  • International conferences

How to Get to PACIFICO Yokohama

One of the biggest advantages of PACIFICO Yokohama is its location in Minato Mirai, which is well connected to the rest of Yokohama and the wider Tokyo area. It is also a central area with many shops, places to eat, museums with gardens, and a boardwalk located along the Yokohama port. Minato Mirai is also quite easy to navigate from the station, with signs in English, making it accessible for foreign tourists.

From Minatomirai Station

Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line is one of the most convenient stations for reaching the venue.

Depending on which PACIFICO Yokohama facility you are visiting, the walking time can vary. For example, PACIFICO Yokohama North is approximately 5–10 minutes from Minatomirai Station, depending on the route.

From Sakuragicho Station

Sakuragicho Station is another convenient option, particularly if you are already travelling through central Yokohama.

PACIFICO Yokohama North is approximately 12 minutes on foot from Sakuragicho Station.

From Haneda Airport

For international visitors, travelling from Haneda Airport to Yokohama is relatively straightforward.

PACIFICO Yokohama event information notes that a direct limousine bus connection can take approximately 45 minutes, depending on the service and destination.

TokudAw LITE offers services in terms of business transportation from the airport to places in Tokyo, including PACIFICO Yokohama.

If you're travelling with business luggage, samples, or presentation materials, a direct bus can be particularly convenient compared with transferring between multiple trains.

Important Tip: Always check the event's specific venue and the latest transportation information before travelling. PACIFICO Yokohama is a large complex, so getting to the right building is just as important as getting to the right station.

Know Which PACIFICO Yokohama Building You Need

This is one of the most important things to check before attending an event.

"PACIFICO Yokohama" refers to a complex rather than a single room or building. Your registration email or the event website should tell you the specific venue.

Facility What You May Find
Conference Center Conferences, meetings, seminars
Exhibition Hall Trade shows, exhibitions, large-scale events
Annex Hall Seminars, presentations, exhibitions, receptions
North Conferences, meetings, corporate events
National Convention Hall Large conferences, presentations, performances

Important Tip: Before leaving for your event, save the exact building and room number on your phone for easier access.

Many events in Japan use a QR code entry badge system. It is recommended to print the code out before arriving at the venue.

Most convenience stores like 7-11, Lawson's, or Family Mart will have a self-service industrial printer that works with drives like USB Type A drives as well as other external drive types. In the case of Family Mart, the machine has a language selection so that the machine's instructions are in English and several other languages.

2. Coin Lockers

Coin lockers are available at PACIFICO Yokohama, making them useful if you need somewhere to temporarily store a small bag or personal belongings.

Keep in mind that lockers can fill up during particularly busy events, so don't rely on them as your only luggage-storage option.

Also, there aren’t many big locker sizes available. The biggest size is:

  • 352 mm 3.86 inches

  • 13 7/8"678 mm 26.69 inches

  • 72 mm 2.83 inches

3. Luggage and Delivery Services

PACIFICO Yokohama also provides a logistics center offering services including delivery and luggage storage.

This can be especially useful for business travellers who need to manage:

  • Suitcases

  • Exhibition materials packaged in boxes or envelopes

  • Business documents packaged in boxes or envelopes

  • Samples

  • Packages

  • Items that need to be shipped after an event

Check the latest operating hours and conditions before relying on the service. Special events and public holidays can adjust the hours. If you are a TokudAw guest, it is best to have a TokudAw employee double-check for you. If not traveling with TokudAw, ask the hotel front desk to call the business to check the hours.

4. Printing and Copying

Need to print something at the last minute?

PACIFICO Yokohama lists Kinko's among its on-site services, offering printing, copying, and academic presentation poster printing. Please note that the on-site printing service closes by 6 PM on most days.

If late printing is needed, it is recommended to go to the Kinkos at Yokohama station’s West Exit, which closes at 10 PM. If even later printing is needed, the best option is to go to a local convenience store, which will have an office printer-type setup. This option is not recommended if a large quantity of color copies are needed, as the price quickly adds up and it may take quite some time to print.

5. Baby and Child Friendly

For visitors travelling with a baby or a child present, PACIFICO Yokohama is equipped with baby lounges and supply areas, as well as bathrooms with baby seats and beds. The lounges are located in the main Exhibition Hall area.

For the Nursing room, look for a freestanding, light wooden box with a logo called mamara. This room does not need an app to access. Simply walk in and lock the door from the inside for some privacy. A color indicator on the outside will inform people if the room is in use. Blue means open; red means the baby nursing room is available.

6. Accessibility

If you are a TokudAw client, we will also review the map and recommend the best entrance for your individual needs.

If you need to rent a wheelchair, it is also possible to do so at PACIFICO Yokohama, and they also allow assistance dogs (guide dogs, mobility assistance dogs, hearing dogs) inside the facility. TokudAw can also assist in reserving a power wheelchair if needed.

7. ATM and Foreign Currency Exchange

If you are in dire need of cash, PACIFICO Yokohama also has a Seven Bank ATM (at the 7-Eleven shop), E-net ATM (at Daily YAMAZAKI shop), as well as a foreign currency exchange machine on the 2nd floor of the InterContinental Yokohama Grand Hotel.

8. Prayer Room

For people seeking a quiet prayer space, PACIFICO Yokohama also has a prayer room on the 2nd floor of North.

Prayer mats and compasses are available. However, the room is not available for use by anyone other than participants in events held at North.

9. Battery Rental Services

If you’re out of battery and forgot to bring your charger, PACIFICO Yokohama offers a battery rental service that is located in front of Gate 1 on the 2nd floor of the Exhibition Hall, next to the 7-Eleven store. Payment is cashless only.

Charge Spot is one of the most convenient battery rental companies. There are many locations nearby and within Pacifical Yokohama. It is highly recommended to download their app, which works in several markets.

PACIFICO Yokohama has a variety of restaurants and cafes. However, they are not necessarily vegan, gluten-free, or halal-friendly. For visitors with dietary restrictions, it is always best to ask the restaurant first if they can accommodate.

Your best bet if you have dietary restrictions would be the two convenience stores present: 7-Eleven and Daily Yamazaki. You should be able to find items such as fruits, nuts, and vegetables at the convenience stores, although specially labeled halal or vegan items may be harder to find.

There are also many restaurants within walking distance of the complex in Minato Mirai, Noge, Chinatown, Motomachi, Kannai, and in the vicinity of Yokohama Station. Queen Square, the mall before the PACIFICO Yokohama, also offers an array of restaurants to choose from. Outside and near entrances of the buildings for signage that contains pictures of each restaurant and the floor it is located on. Please note, this signage is usually printed and not accessible for those with visual impairments.

If you're attending with colleagues or meeting a potential business partner, consider making a lunch reservation in advance if possible.

During major conferences and exhibitions, nearby restaurants can become particularly busy around lunchtime.

Another option is to schedule your business meeting slightly outside the standard lunch period, giving you more flexibility and potentially a quieter environment.
